I’m looking for people to help run the group as I am planning on stepping back soon.

I think it’s probably best to have a few organisers who can each take a small amount of responsibility. Hopefully this would look like a relatively low time commitment for each person. For example, one person could organise a Q1 event every year, another could organise a Q2 event, another could keep track of great job opportunities etc.

At a meta level, the aims are to:

  1. Support donations to highly effective charities

  2. Support high impact careers

  3. Strengthen & expand the EA Finance community (insofar as to support the first two aims)

Necessary things to do (<1 hour/week):

  • organising an event every 3 months - online or in-person (I can make a step-by-step guide so this is pretty easy)

Additionally useful things to do:

  • organising talks

  • giving a lightning talk (<10 min) at an event

  • finding and circulating high impact job opportunities particularly relevant for people in finance

  • supporting people doing workplace outreach

  • writing down thoughts on how to donate effectively, or do workplace outreach, or be successful in a career in finance

  • gathering together member profiles for the website
